Consultant Radiologist with an interest in head and neck radiology, nuclear medicine and PET-CT.
Background
Olu graduated from University of Benin in 1995. He then underwent general medicine training in the UK and subsequently completed his radiology and nuclear medicine (including PET-CT) training in Birmingham and Zurich.
He took up the post of Consultant in Radiology at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire in May 2007.
Clinical Interests
Olu’s interests include:
Head and neck imaging including CT, MRI, fine needle aspiration of thyroid and other head and neck lumps
Sialography - the radiographic examination of the salivary glands
Dacyrocystography - radiographic examination of the tear ducts
Radionuclide imaging with PET-CT and SPECT-CT
Parathyroid and thyroid scintigraphy
Research Interests
Amongst other interests, Olu is closely involved in the PET-NECK study research. This is a multi-centre randomised phase III trial, comparing PET-CT guided watch and wait policy, versus planned neck dissection for the management of locally advanced (N2/N3) nodal metastases in patients with head and neck squamous cancer.
